DAY 01 : VIENNA
Arrive Vienna Airport and transfer to Hotel. Vienna is renowned for its social occasions, majestic sights, cafés, comfortable wine bars, and the uncommon Viennese appeal. Day is free to explore Vienna at your own. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 : SCHONBRUNN PALACE TOUR & VIENNA HISTORICAL CITY TOUR – SALZBURG
Reach at the meeting point to Experience the best of Vienna, including the Schönbrunn Palace, on this 3.5-hour city highlights coach tour. Drive along the famous Ringstrasse boulevard to admire buildings such as the Vienna State Opera, City Hall and Hofburg Palace, once home to Marie Antoinette. Then, tour the extravagant staterooms of the Schönbrunn, the summer residence of the Habsburg monarchs, and get free time to stroll its gardens or relax at the café. In the afternoon transfer to Vienna Railway Station for your train to Salzburg. Arrive Salzburg and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : 5 FINGERS – SALZKAMMERGUT- HALLSTATT
Assemble at the meeting point to start the journey travelling to Three spectacular highlights in one sightseeing tour: 5 of the most spectacular viewing platforms in Austria, “5 Fingers”, the picturesque Lakes and Mountains district “Salzkammergut” and the extraordinary village “Hallstatt” at Lake Hallstättersee. The UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee wrote: “... nature of extraordinary beauty added to scientific import ...” Some guests say it is the most extraordinary lake village in the world. 5 FINGERS one of the most spectacular viewing platforms in Austria - On this tour you get the chance to go up not only to one but 5 of the most spectacular viewing platforms in Austria. Only 20 to 30 minutes easy hiking one way from the top of the cable car station are necessary for an unforgettable experience. THE WORLD FAMOUS "Salzkammergut" LAKES AND MOUNTAINS DISTRICT. On the way to 5 Fingers and Hallstatt we go through the famous Lakes and Mountains district "Salzkammergut" passing by also hotel Schloss Fushl and the headquarters of Red Bull. Our 1st photo stop is high over Lake Wolfgang and the Mozart village St. Gilgen. HALLSTATT – 7000 YEARS OF SALT MINING AND UNESCO HERITAGE SITE -Finally we will reach the extraordinary village Hallstatt at lake Hallstätter See. It is simply amazing how the houses were built between the mountains and the lake. 7000 years of salt mining and the findings of eminent historic import even gave a scientific epoch its name: The "Hallstatt period" with the "Hallstatt Culture". Together with the Dachstein region Hallstatt was declared an UNESCO Heritage site. Drop at the start point and transfer to Hotel at your own. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 : EAGLE’S NEST + WORLD FAMOUS MOVIE LOCATIONS + BAVARIAN ALPS
Approach the meeting point to enjoy the tour of Eagle’s Nest + World Famous Movie Locations with Bavarian Alps (Tour duration 8 hrs). On the way to EAGLE'S NEST we will cross the Austrian border to Bavaria (Germany). This locations is a package of superlatives. The road up to Eagle's Nest is a milestone in the history of road construction in alpine regions and unique in the world. Via a tunnel you then get to the brass elevator which takes you inside the mountain straight up 124 m in only 42 seconds. At 1834 m (6017 ft) above sea level you will have a breathtaking panoramic view (with fine weather up to 200 km!).THE ORIGINAL FILM LOCATIONS FROM “The Sound of Music” and PLACES FROM MARIA v. TRAPP’s REAL LIFE : “The Sound of Music” – With beautiful film locations which can make one dream to follow Julie Andrews’ as Maria von Trapp and her family’s footsteps. We will take you to original film locations, (also several locations in Maria von Trapp’s real life) some of them also Salzburg’s (town and country) most attractive sightseeing places. Mirabell Palace and Gardens, where Maria and the children sang ‘Do-Re-Mi’ we will pass by. It is recommendable to visit the gardens with the Pegasus fountain and the "Do-Re-Mi-steps" i.e. after the tour. We will pass by Frohnburg Palace (‘I have confidence in me’). Felsenreitschule (‘Edelweiss’) and Nonnberg Abbey in the old town of Salzburg will be also along our driving route well as Mozart foot bridge. A stop will be at Leopoldskron Palace and Leopoldskron Lake (where the children fell into the water), a picturesque place with Hohensalzburg Fortress surmounting Leopoldskron Castle and in the diestance the mighty mountain Untersberg over which (only in the movie) the Trapp family fled Austria. The next stop will be at the park of Hellbrunn Palace, where the glass pavilion "Gazebo" had been reconstructed ('I am 16 going on 17'). We will then leave Salzburg town heading for Salzkammergut/Lake District, driving through country villages along Lake Fuschl to high over St. Gilgen (also famous for the Mozart family) with a breathtaking view over Lake Wolfgang. Finally we will take the Romantic Road towards Mondsee (village and lake) where in the Mondsee Basilica (wedding church) you can follow Maria and Baron von Trapp’s footsteps to the wedding altar. After all this, enjoy the way back to Salzburg – being excited, dreaming, or singing one of the wonderful songs. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 : SALZBURG - PRAGUE
Check out and time is free to explore the Salzburg at your own. Transfer to Salzburg Train Station to take train from Sazlburg to Prague with one connection at Linz HBF. Arrive Prague and meet with the driver to transfer to your hotel in Prague.
DAY 06 : PRAGUE VLTAVA RIVER LUNCH CRUISE
Come at the meeting point to take Prague Vltava River Lunch Cruise-For the perfect introduction to Prague, take a relaxing lunch cruise on the Vltava River taking in some of Prague's most breathtaking sites. Your two-hour cruise features a buffet lunch, accompanied by pleasant music. You will have the chance to discover some of Pragues most majestic sites. As you cruise along the Vltava river you will discover many of Prague's important buildings and historic monuments such as the St. Agnes Monastery, the oldest gothic building built between 1231-34. As well as the Rudolfinium, one of the most significant Neo-renaissance structures in Prague along with the National theatre. Today the magnificent Rudolfinium is home to the Czech Philoharmonic orchestra which was founded in 1896. As you pass along the longest river in the Czech Republic which lies beneath an impressive 20 bridges including the baroque inspired Charles bridge, you will see the biggest castle in the world, Prague Castle. You will aso experience the wonderful site of Vysehrad, a castle located on a hill over the Vltava river built around the 10th century and much, much more! During your buffet lunch you will also be surrounded by pleasant music to ensure your cruise is thoroughly enjoyed. Come Back to Hotel at your own.
DAY 07 : HISTORICAL PANORAMIC BUS TOUR - DEPARTURE
Please reach the meeting point at to take a Historical Panoramic Bus Tour in Prague-Embark on a two hour bus tour and enjoy an open panoramic view of the city of Prague and admire the most famous locations of the Old and the New Town, the Prague Castle and the Jewish Quarter. The tour will start and end in the city center at the Old Town Square. Enjoy commentary of the locations provided via headphones, where you can choose from 26 languages. The route of a 2-hour ride covers all the ancient parts of Prague: Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town and Prague Castle. At the Prague Castle there is a hop-on hop-off break for you to explore the surroundings at your own leisure during a 30-40 minute walk included.
