DAY 1 - ISTANBUL
Welcome to Istanbul! You will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours free to explore. Overnight at Istanbul
DAY 2 – FULL DAY ISTABUL CITY TOUR
After breakfast meet your guide for city tour of Istanbul. Visit TOPKAPI PALACE The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Visit to HAGIA SOPHIA GRAND MOSQUE: The Hagia Sophia, previously known as the Church of Divine Wisdom, is simply The best of its kind! Hagia Sophia is the greatest surviving example of Byzantine Architecture. For 1000 years it was once the largest church in the world, decorated with stunning 6th century golden mosaics. Today it is a mosque. After that time is free for Lunch break at 13:00 pm (Lunch is not included). After the lunch, Murtis Tour will take you to the GRAND SPICE BAZAAR which is a unique atmosphere with reasonable prices for your shopping. Here you will find; Exotic Spices and Herbs, Turkish Baklava, Turkish Delights, Turkish Coffee, nuts and fruits, small souvenirs such as Ceramic Handicrafts, Evil Eyes totems, all naturel olive oil, soaps and many other goods in Souvenir Shops and stores. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 3 – ISTANBUL BOSPHORUS CRUISE & SHOPPING TOUR
After breakfast meet with tour representative for Bosphorus Cruise Tour. You will again visit: Grand Spice Bazaar, mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers etc. Then take you to the Bosporus Cruise, through the water way separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residential and luxurious apartments. Rumeli Fortress (from the boat – no interior visit), historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosporus. A unique example of military architecture. Lunch at your own cost around 13:00 pm. Visit CAMLICA HILL the highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosporus from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional Turkish Ottoman style.
Experience the traditional silk weaving skills of Turkish women at the carpet weaving courses provided by The Ministry of National Education. You will get the opportunity to see jewellery, handcrafts centre and a modern leatherwear show. Enjoy the experience of shopping whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen, with Murti's Tour's local escort full of knowledge about how to haggle the streets of Istanbul. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 4 - DEPARTURE
After Breakfast your day is free until your return transfer to the airport where your tour concludes.
