Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 01 - SWITZERLAND - INTERLAKEN
Arrive Zurich & board the train for Interlaken- a mecca for visitors with its spectacular scenery. Day at leisure to exploit Interlaken’s Hoheweg- an inviting 700 meter long boulevard with hotels, cosy cafes, fashion boutiques, watch and jewellery stores. Overnight stay in Interlaken.
DAY 02 - INTERLAKEN - JUNGFRAUJOCH
After Breakfast this morning depart on an excursion from Interlaken up to Jungfraujoch- Top of Europe. Icy air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view nearly takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand meter peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience. This memorable train trip from Interlaken Ost takes you wia Lauterbrunnen and Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. Then ascent by the Jungfrau Railway to the magnificent mountain world of eternal ice and snow. Visit the Ice Palace and Sphinx Terraces offer in breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Overnight stay in Interlaken.
DAY 03 - LUCERNE
Today you experience a rail trip by the Golden Pass line from Interlaken to the city of lights- Lucerne. The lakeside medieval town of Lucerne is one of Switzerland’s prettiest destinations, well-deserving of a day’s exploration of its historic sites. A picture-perfect town, its proud symbol is the 14th-century Chapel Bridge spanning Lake Lucerne, the beautiful, fourth-largest lake in Switzerland. Day at leisure to explore this lovely city or visit the Swiss Transport Museum, the IMAX Theatre or the Lion Monument on your own. Overnight stay in Lucerne.
DAY 04 - LUCERNE - MOUNT PILATUS
Today enjoy an excursion to Mount Pilatus. A multi-peaked massif, Mt. Pilatus towers over Lucerne and Central Switzerland. Though Queen Victoria enlisted a mule to help her ascend the mountain in 1868, visitors now venture up by cable car or cogwheel train, which—with a gradient of up to 48 percent—is said to be one of the world’s steepest. Crisscrossed by hiking trails and sled runs, Mt. Pilatus features a kid-friendly adventure park and a suspension rope park. From the top, you can see as far as Italy on a clear day . Overnight at Lucerne.
DAY 05 - DEPARTURE
After breakfast proceed to Lucerne train station to board the train for Zurich Airport for your flight to next destination.
