Birdworld Kuranda was planned and built-in 1995 in Kuranda, intended to showcase birds in their indigenous natural habitats without cages, making a genuinely intelligent and lovely experience for tourists. All tourists to the Birdworld are given a free copy of an exceptionally supportive and informative bird guide, with colored pictures of birds to help with identification. The sanctuary can give guided tours to all group bookings and is a non-smoking facility with wheelchair and disabled access. There is an information place, picnic area, kiosks, and souvenir shop.
